My original post “12 Steps Up The Self Publishing Mountain” posted on 3 June, inspired me to set a writing challenge – “Small Steps Up Mountains”

My writing prompt has had its first reply!

K at the Black Wall blog has written a very inspiring post on her journey overcoming depression:

If you would like to write a post on your “Small Steps up Mountains” here are my writing prompt questions:

Who or what inspired you to start the ascent?

How did you break the climb into manageable bites?

Who supported you along the way?

What have you learned?

What are you thankful for?

Is there any part of the journey you would have done differently?

So there you have it!

I await more contributions….

  1. About 8 years ago, I retired from a government-related job. Each day and each task I considered my mountain. When I accomplished small goals to meet deadlines or the task at handle, I liken it to biting a piece of the elephant or “mountain” one bite at a time. I accomplished the task. I am a believer a mountain is only high as your unwillingness to climb. Thanks for this read!

      1. Do I post on my site as a post and then you link it? Also, an I simply to write about a mountaintop experience and how I accomplished it by taking certain steps? If not, can you briefly share what the objectives are for this post? Thanks

      2. You can post on your site and then let me know and I will put a link on my site. If you look at the post Small Steps Up Mountains there is a list of questions about your journey. You can answer them in that format if you wish or just tell your story. The objective is to share a journey that would seem gigantic like a mountain at first but by breaking it into very small steps it was less daunting and you managed to take a small step at a time. I shared my journey on Small Steps Up the Publishing Mountain if you want further ideas. Feel free to ask if you need more help.

      4. I am afraid not. You are the only person with this type of issue I have met. WordPress should help though. I would contact them again as it is bound to affect your visitor numbers. Good luck.
