The Vatican Gardens

I LOVE to travel and take time to view new gardens, taking inspiration for my own little plot.  On 7th March 2009, I was incredibly blessed to take a guided tour of the Vatican Gardens; I was able book via the Internet.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to join that garden tour, but the following day surpassed all my dreams, when I received holy communion from Pope Benedict on my birthday!

The full story is told in my memoir – “Watching the Daisies – Life Lessons on the Importance of Slow”.

I hope to have news on a publishing date in August.

    1. I haven’t done the palace but yes the Vatican gardens are quite grand. There was a lovely private arboretum that the Pope loves. Also lots of statues and replicas of Lords shrine… I also saw the gardens at Tuvalu but the water was not working the day I visited and all the fountains were dry. Still I enjoyed visiting with very few other folks around. 😊
