52 Weeks of Thankfulness- Week 16

The weather has been stable here in Donegal, for more than a week, with dry, sunny days – ideal for much needed garden maintenance before winter.  I have spent a number of hours weeding, cutting back and tidying…

I have lots of changes planned for next year, the biggest being the removal of my pond which has sadly sprung a leak.  I will clear it out, setting aside the contents to give time for any little pond creatures to find new homes…

The butyl pond liner will remain in place, and will be filled with soil to transform the current sad area, into a bog garden. I have a number of Astilbes, Iris and Candelabra Primula excitedly waiting for their new home!

I procrastinated for ever about joining Facebook, as I am a very private person.  Last week, I took a gigantic leap and joined millions of others networking and sharing around the world.

I am slowly acclimatising to chatting, sharing, posting, new emoji…

I have connected with friends old and new and it actually felt GOOD!

I will create a proper Facebook page once my book cover is designed.  My final proofread was completed TODAY and my excitement is GROWING…

Have a great week.

  1. Well done for joining Facebook! I’d always resisted it, used to think it was a place where young people arranged orgies, but it has been a great way of keeping in touch with people. I now use it much more than Twitter!

  2. Wow! You’ve been busy! Weeding is so much work. I need to get started. Sorry to hear about your pond. Bet it will be great when it’s finished. Congratulations on your book. And for jumping into Facebook. Can’t wait to “see” you there!
