Bold Blind Beauty

I cannot begin to imagine how I would feel if I ever lost my eyesight.  Stephanae McCoy lost her vision as an adult, and it is three years since she was declared legally blind.  She is an inspiration to many, with her beautiful blog Bold Blind Beauty

“I am blind.  I am beautiful.  I am fashion.  – Abigail ” sits atop her page.  Abigail is Stephanae’s white cane icon that is unique and “the property of, Bold Blind Beauty and Abigail Style, LLC and is not a replacement for the nationally recognized white cane icon”

Stephanae’s blog grew out of her love for inspiring blind and partially sighted women with make up tips.  She comments” The focus on feeling good is important because, as my grandmother taught me many decades ago, genuine beauty begins on the inside.”

She now has a sister blog Abigail Style where you can purchase coffee mugs, women’s tops, kids tees, tote bags…   with Stephanae’s Abigail logo.

“But you don’t look blind”is a comment that blind or visually impaired people hear, especially if they look stylish and walk with confidence.”

Stephanae certainly exudes confidence and STYLE.

Please call round and pay her a visit.  She is sure to inspire you too.

  1. Thank you for introducing yet another inspiring Woman to me. I wonder if I could be so gracious if my sight was taken from me, but having read so many stories from people who are I can only pray I would be in that list.

  2. a dear post Brigid. We have close friend who suddenly became legally blind in his 50’s. He had to give up his career and has become a hospital chaplain. And he’s a blessing to so many people. How is your book doing??! Love reading your thoughts.

  4. Brigid, thank you so much for this lovely post. I knew days ago that there was something I was supposed to do but couldn’t recall what it was until this morning. I apologize for not getting back to you with links. This was so very kind of you and I want you to know that I appreciate you thinking of me. 💗💖💗
