Bryan Adams Rocks Belfast!

I first saw Bryan Adams in Edinburgh on 20th February 1984, supporting Tina Turner on her “Private Dancer” Tour. I attended a second concert when Bryan was a most deserving lead performer.

On 11 May 2016, I watched Bryan play live in Belfast on his “Get Up” Tour – my third concert.

My niece and I braved 1 1/2 hours of patient standing to get a ringside spot with a great view of Mr Adams.  It was well worth the wait…

Later, we sang and danced with my two sisters to:

“Summer of ’69”,

“All for Love”,

“Run to You”,

“Straight from the Heart”….

A guitar duet with lead guitarist Keith Scott, during “Its Only Love” was indeed “Heaven.”

As part of an 11,000 strong crowd accompanying Bryan to “Everything I Do, I Do It For You,” we were told that Belfast still held the record for the loudest sing a long to the band ever!

The papers say that the set included 23 songs plus an encore.  I know it was in the words of one of his songs “A Night to Remember.”

Thank you Bryan, you and your band are indeed AWESOME.

  3. Bryan Adams is incredible and I can never forget Tina Turner. I saw her at Jones Beach on Long Island a few years back and she had that crowd so up. I can still hear that voice of hers churning out rolling on a river. We are so glad you reposted this so we could re-live these memories. Isn’t that something how they drew a crowd of 11,000 plus!!!! They don’t make em like this anymore.
