Sunshine Blogger Award

Heather and Dizzy the Donkey ย recently nominated me for a blog award. I have been award free until now, but how could I refuse Dizzy? She is definitely a charmer!

I have therefore accepted The Sunshine Blogger Award.

Thank you Dizzy and Heather for the nomination.

  1. Thank the person who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
  2. Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  3. Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  4. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or your blog.

Heather and Dizzy’s questions are:

1.Have you ever got lost in a maze? No. I have never been in a maze but I would love to visit one.

2. Do you have any unusual fears or phobias? I don’t have any unusual fears or phobias but I seem to have acquired a fear of heights in recent years.

3. Do you believe in the Loch Ness Monster? Yes, absolutely. I have visited Loch Ness but sadly I did not see Nessie.

4. If you could travel to one place in the past, when would it be and why? I would love to travel back to Egypt and the Temple at Dendera. I had a significant dream about the past there and I would love to go back for another visit.

5. If you could have one magical power what would it be and why? I would love to have a magic wand that ended hunger and wars worldwide.

6. What’s your favourite part of the day? I like evenings when I can contemplate and give thanks for all the good things that have happened.

7. What was your dream job when you were growing up? I wanted to be a doctor but that was not meant to be. I did become a natural medicines therapist and teacher for 20 years.

8. What’s your weirdest experience? I have had quite a lot of weird experiences as I am both clairvoyant and clairaudient. I can see auras round people and sense their energies.

9. What’s your lucky number? I feel good about 4 which features a lot in my numerology. Other than that I am happy about most numbers.

10. What makes you happy? I love being outside in my garden pottering or just sitting in my pink garden chair watching the daisies...

11. What’s your favourite mythical creature? I love unicorns. They are quite magical.

I cannot choose between my lovely blog friends. If any of you would like to accept this award please feel free to answer the following questions:

  1. What is your favourite colour?
  2. What star sign are you? Are you typical of that sign?
  3. What is the most amazing place you have visited?
  4. What book have you enjoyed the most?
  5. Who is your favourite movie star?
  6. Which famous personality would you like to meet? What would you say to them?
  7. What hobbies do you have?
  8. What is your favourite food?
  9. Do you have any pets? What are their names?
  10. What would be your dream holiday?
  11. How do you stay healthy? What tips would you give to others?

  1. I won’t accept the challenge but I will say many congratulations … you deserve this and it was lovely reading the answers to those questions. I learned a little lottle ๐Ÿ™‚ I will, though give you my answers here just because you took the time to set the questions and I feel good about replying:
    1. Turquoise – or Turkboys as I called it as a child
    2. Virgo-cusp Libra … Yes, I would say I am very much a melange of those two signs
    3. It’s wherever I am now …. if your heart and your eyes are open there is always wonder
    4. The Little Prince remains my enduring favourite but I do need a library …
    5. Julia Roberts – I want to BE her (shallow, I know, very very shallow ….)
    6. Keith Richards and I’d ask how can you have lived that life and still be here!
    7. I collect cookery books, I cook, I draw (badly), I take photographs and I hike
    8. Just food really except for English mustard, tinned rice pudding and andouillette, brains (I can’t eat an animals thoughts) and tripe.
    9. The Bean. Feisty Jack Russell-Chihuahua X who is my comfort and solace, my joy and devotion
    10. Maybe Egypt … it’s where my father was born and lived his early years. I would like to walk the land he started in
    11. Moderation in all things … I limit sugar to virtually zero but I do eat dairy, I am largely vegetarian but I eat a some fish and a little meat (but only if I know how it was husbanded). I drink moderately – a small glass of wine here and there and I walk as much as possible, run when the mood takes me and row when I get the opportunity. It was my passion for a while. Walking is my meditation as well as physical exercise.
There you are … congratulations again and now I’m off to visit Heather and Dizzie …

    • Osyth it was so nice to learn more about you. I laughed at your answer to no 6. Although I was born a Pisces. I was born when the moon was full in Virgo and the sign on the horizon was Libra. I think you will fall in love with Dizzy and Heather. They are so lovely. ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ

  4. Well earned & deserved award.

You are the epitome of sunshine Brigid.โ˜€๏ธ

And I love all your answers! So illuminating.

The reveal that fascinates me the most is how you see / sense auras.

    – One question: Does the person have to be physically present for you to see their aura?

  5. Brigid, this is a beautiful post. It’s so nice to get to know you in this way. I felt like I was having a phone conversation with you. ๐Ÿ™‚ I believe in Nessie too.

By the way, I wanted to mention that you are welcome to contribute a post for Forgiving Fridays. As you may know, it’s a weekly creative prompt I do to invite readers to share their experiences with forgiveness. It can be whatever calls to you, even gardening — I can imagine how this can open to great forgiveness — or your evening reflections process. Anyway just wanted to mention it to you.

If you decide to contribute, all you need to do is include #ForgivingFridays in your tags & a pingback to my post. Here’s the link if helpful.

MUCH LOVE, Brigid. Lovely post. Love, Debbie
