Book Review – Angels at my Fingertips by Lorna Byrne

Angels at my fingertips

Do you believe in angels?

I certainly do, and I know they help me on a daily basis.

Lorna Byrne

Lorna Byrne has seen angels since she was a child. She is also able to describe them in great detail, and shares their messages of hope and healing for our future.

Her first book “Angels in my Hair was published in 2008. It is now an international bestseller. I recently discovered the sequel, “Angels at my Fingertips,” in my local library. I just had to read it.

Synopsis

Angels at My Fingertips takes us back to the territory that made Angels in My Hair a million selling, international bestseller. Stories of Lorna’s early life in rural Ireland, of how angels helped and guided her through traumatic events, lead to a detailed description of what angels are like, the different types of angels, how they behave in interact with God and other angels as well as human beings, their role during our lives and after death. Angels at My Fingertips also contains an account of how Joe, her husband, who died young in Angels in My Hair returns to visit her. For the first time Lorna reveals the role of the souls of our loved ones who may return from heaven briefly to help and guide us. Information as detailed as this never been published anywhere before now.

Since she went public about her unprecedented gifts, Lorna’s reputation has grown. The Catholic Church is at last beginning to show recognition, asking her to speak in churches, and leading American theologian Matthew Fox has compared her to the medieval saint, Hildegard of Bingen. Her unique qualities have been recognised by leading Islamic theologians too.

Lorna’s last two books for have been Sunday Times number one bestsellers and Message of Hope from the Angels was also the number one bestselling MBS book in the year it was published.

My Review

In this sequel to “Angels in my Hair,” Lorna Byrne shares more details about her regular interactions with angels, including their appearance, teachings and relationship with God.
I particularly enjoyed reading about the messages given by her angels, not just for herself but for others in times of crisis.
Lorna also shares poignant memories of her late husband Joe, and the love she found after his early death.
Although she was labelled “retarded” as a child, and has now been diagnosed with dyslexia, she tells the reader how she writes her best selling books using verbal instructions on her computer, which are then edited by her daughter.
I found this book very insightful yet easy to read, from a very humble and inspirational lady.

  1. Hi Brigid,
Just came at the right time for me. Been thinking about angels recently.
When mum was in hospital on one occasion I discussed my concerns about her care with the priest from our previous parish who knows our family well. The priest said ‘she’ll be fine, the angels will look after her’. On this occasion mum was discharged home. At the time I thought it was a blaze thing to say and angels didn’t really feature in my life.
I have seens blue & white shapes before sleep since mum’s death and a formed, what I thought looked like an angel, once before sleep. After seeing the angel I felt relaxed.
Will check out these books Brigid.
