My Last Blog Post – Every Moment is a Fresh Beginning

3[1]

Sadly, this is my last blog post after four and a half years of blogging.

Stepping back was not an easy decision to make.

However, it is the right one for me.

Thank You

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has read and commented on my posts. I really appreciate your support.

Many of you have become good friends, and I hope we can continue our friendships through Facebook and Twitter.

New Beginnings

Finally, this may be an ending but it is also a new beginning…

I wish you all well on your journey.

  1. Thank you Brigid for sharing your experiences over the years. You have helped so many people with your insights. It takes courage and strength to definitely stop something and move on, and I respect you for this decision. May your new road rise up to greet you and provide you with new pleasures and satisfaction. And I wish you good health in the coming years. Denzil

  2. Brigid, it’s never an easy decision to close one chapter in life and I appreciate the thought you will have put in before writing this, your last post. It’s been a joy and privilege to follow you these years, thank you for sharing your wisdom and friendship. It’s been a delight to chat across the blogs and I will miss you. However, I will of course catch up over on Twitter … but it is never quite the same. Wishing you well and success in all you do. Take care, my friend. Hugs xx ❤️

  8. I’ll be sorry to see your blog go, but it will be good to keep in touch via Facebook. I wish you well for whatever the future may hold, and that new beginning. As a wise man once said: every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end…

    Take care, Brigid 😊💐

  9. There is a time and a place for everything as my Dad used to say (without realizing the sentiment has roots in Ecclesiastes!!!!). I applaud your determination to end something deeply interconnected with yourself (your blog) in order to honor the new beginning emerging from within.
And I appreciate the example you’re leaving other bloggers for when ‘it’s time, it’s time’.
I have enjoyed your gardens and wish for you all the best especially with regards to those bees!
Take care, stay safe and blessings.

    • Thank you Laura. Yes, I have seen so many of my blog friends just disappear without saying “Goodbye.” I appreciate everyone’s friendship and support, so I hope to keep in touch with as many people as possible on social media.

  11. Ah Brigid,
That surely is serendipidy. Was struggling to link into a live Facebook event when I saw your post at the top of my newsfeed.
So sorry to see you go but as you say the time is right for you to move on.
It has been a real pleasure visiting your blog from the Homes of Donegal, my second home.
Last week I posted your book to a friend who suffers from fibromyalgia. I caught up reading it when in The Gambia.
I wish you all the best for the future, will follow on Facebook & we may have that Rossnowlagh meet up some time in the future.
God bless & take care ❤️☘️🌻💁🏻‍♀️

  12. So sorry to see you go! I very much enjoyed your gardening posts and pictures. I wish I were a faster reader – your memoir would have been finished long ago. As it is, still in the pipeline.

Good luck with your new beginnings, whatever they may be.

May the road rise up to meet you

    • Thank you so much Barb. I think you understand the need for “new beginnings.” I still smile every time I look at your beautiful Rose Garden Matchbox. It is a treasure. There are so few of my original blog friends still blogging. I am looking forward to my retirement. xx

      • I do indeed understand “new beginnings”. So many bloggers have moved on (some without explanation which is a shame), but perhaps that is the nature of it. I lost my passion for it but still kept in touch with blogging friends like yourself. I’m so glad you still enjoy the Rose Garden, I loved making it for you. Retirement is such a wonderful time of our lives and I just know you will be enjoying every minute. Especially in your beautiful garden.XX

  15. Oh Brigid, I’m so sad to read this. All selfish reasons of course – I’m going to miss you in the blogging world, big time! Your posts always bring a smile to my face. Will you still be on social media, like Twitter?

You need to do what’s right for you, and I can appreciate this wouldn’t have been an easy decision to make. I’m very grateful to have ‘met’ you in the blogging world and want to thank you for all of your wonderful blog posts, the support you provide to me and others, for everything you have shared with us all. Don’t be a stranger, we’ll all still be around. Please get in touch any time if you ever want someone to chat with. Lots of love to you my friend.

I hope your on the eve of retirement brings you good health, lovely moments in your beautiful garden with cat friends visiting and yes, new projects and connections.
